I like the holidays but for reasons far greater than visiting family and eating turkey. Getting out of town means an opportunity to expand my extremely limited beer sampling.
Belgian-style beers seem to top my last big-beer store visit. Among them are Boulevard's Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale from Missouri, Maredsous 8 Dubbel and Ommegang Abbey Ale from Cooperstown, N.Y.
Of course that was only half of the samples I picked up. The rest await me in the basement
